Anxious to Sail!
So a few weeks ago, before I had a work trip to Boston, we finally slept on the boat. We decided for bedding we’d follow the strategy of covering one heavy comforter and one light comforter in duvet covers and just whatever the weather was that would determine which was on bottom and which was on top. Per usual, Macy’s ended up being the place with the best deals on linens. Found a nice cotton duvet for the light comforter and then got two flat sheets that I sewed together and added button closure at one end for the heavy comforter.
It was super-comfy sleeping in the marina in the back berth. We of course spent all night wondering about the sounds of the boat and the marina including gurgling, clicking, clacking, etc.
So now we will soon be heading off on our first overnight voyage with a few friends accompanying us on the outbound leg of the trip. We really haven’t spent this much sailing time on the boat before so it should be interesting. It is likely we will even have to use the anchor because we don’t have a marina reservation for the first night of our trip and in summer weekends the marinas are full.
In any case, here are a few recent boat pictures and pictures of marina sea life to enjoy:
